Synopsis

In the Lion City is a musical performance that features sounds from the heart of Singapore. This show will combine recorded sounds from iconic Singaporean landscapes such as hawker centers, MRT/public buses, coffee shops, and city streets. The show is performed by DJ LIKKI, backed by a fusion ensemble consisting of instruments such as erhu oud, trumpet, trombone, horn and tuba.

 

The programme will include mash ups of various Singaporean-made music and classic EDM melodies such as Martin Garrix’s “Animals” with Chan Mali Chan, the “Crazy Frog” melody with “Bunga Sayang” and more. Come for this showcase of Singaporean identity through electronic dance music!
