In celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and the Republic of Korea, the Orchestra of the Music Makers presents One Melody: 하나의 선율.
Under the baton of Music Director Chan Tze Law, the evening begins with the world premiere of what the sea was whispering, a new work by Singaporean composer Jonathan Shin.
Renowned Korean pianist Kun-Woo Paik then takes the stage for Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, a work of lyrical beauty and romantic intimacy. The concert closes with the sweeping drama of Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, reimagined for full orchestra in Schoenberg’s vivid and colourful orchestration.
Join us for an evening of musical celebration and friendship.
