Pat Toh
Pat Toh (Singapore, 1981) makes performances that unfold at the intersection of theatre, dance and the live arts. Her works often contemplate the effects, remnants and trauma of ideology and body politics drawing from fitness culture, sports regimes and training protocols. She works with the mechanics, functionality and processes within the corporeal in order to strip the performance of decorative elements reducing it to the plain act of physical labour. Her works have been performed in M1 CONTACT Contemporary Dance Festival (Singapore), Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Liveworks Festival of Experimental Arts (Australia), Cross Festival (Italy), Seoul International Dance Festival (Korea), HDX Dance Exchange (Hong Kong), Machol Shalem Dance House Jerusalem (Israel), FMK International Dance Festival (Laos) and Want To Dance Festival (Taiwan). Pat Toh is an Associate Artist of Dance Nucleus.

Transfield Studio
Instagram | Facebook | Website
Transfield Studio comprises Tokyo-based artists, Rick Yamakawa and Yuko Takeda. Through a core question of "How can we be together?”, the duo explores how close we can get to the basic premise of a postmodern city, in which inhabitants live by sharing limited resources and negotiating living together as embodied experiences. Transfield Studio conducts in-depth fieldwork in the cities where they create their works. These often take the form of interactive Touring Performances that highlight the audience's experience of the city through their own bodies. Since 2018, Transfield Studio has conducted research and presented their works in Asian cities such as Phnom Penh, Manila, Vientiane, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Taipei and Singapore.
