MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS is a post-hardcore/shoegaze trio based in Japan, known for their tightly arranged, guitar-driven style, melodic pop vocals and high-energy stage presence. The band comprises vocalist and bass guitarist Natsuko Miyamoto, Naoya Ogura on guitar and vocals, and Isao Yoshino on drums and vocals. Armed with their latest album Awakening:Sleeping, the trio greeted fans in Singapore at Baybeats on 6 Oct 2023 with their hynoptic, driving songs.
About the festival
Held from 6 – 8 Oct 2023, the 22nd edition of Baybeats at Esplanade presented an exciting line-up of homegrown and international acts. As Singapore’s largest alternative music festival, Baybeats is kept free, and for the 2023 edition, was supported by new partnerships formed with overseas music festivals such as Taiwan’s Golden Melody Awards and Festival (GMA) and Hong Kong's Ear Up Music Festival, as well as Principal Sponsor KEEN.
The first set of four recordings will premiere 8 Feb 2024, 9pm. The second set of performance recordings will be released by the end of Feb 2024.
