Featuring Tung Ka Wai and Germaine Goh, hosted by Munah Bagharib
In collaboration with RICE Media, as part of da:ns focus - EveryBody
“Sometimes, I’m not sure if I’m adequate. Do I need to stand up more? Do I need to do different movements?“
Tung Ka Wai, Freelance Artist
Dance, as a craft, has long celebrated and demanded perfection in movement and body type. But what if you’re just not built the same way?
Seasoned host and actress Munah Bagharib sits down in candid conversations with two dance artists, Ka Wai and Germaine. Ka Wai’s physical disability stems from missing bones in his arms and legs, while Germaine faces communication barriers due to her autism.
This video was crafted in collaboration with RICE Media, as part of da:ns focus - EveryBody, which spotlights inclusivity, diversity and participation, where everybody and every body can come and experience dance.
Staged from 11-13 April 2025 as part of da:ns focus - EveryBody, Lived Fiction by Stopgap Dance Company explored diverse experiences through movement and spoken word.
