J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan has been synonymous with children's theatre since its inception. From oh-so-quotable lines ("To live will be an awfully big adventure!") to the catchiest of songs, there are always lessons, laughs and lots of love to get out of this classic.
National Theatre Live presented a bold revival of Peter Pan in late-2016, recasting traditionally gender-typecast roles like Captain Hook (Anna Francolini) and Tinkerbell (Saikat Ahmed). Director Sally Cookson's production also features an imaginative "fairy strings" method of portraying flight, with counterweighters at the sides of the stage propelling the cast through the air.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to catch this evergreen (Get it? Peter Pan. Green.) classic, screened right here at the Esplanade Theatre Studio, with shows on Dec 8 & 9
