# Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay

> Singapore's national performing arts centre, presenting over 3,000 performances, activities, and exhibitions a year since opening in 2002. Located at 1 Esplanade Drive, Marina Bay, Singapore. Over 70% of programming is free to attend, including daily outdoor and indoor performances. Esplanade is an independent, non-profit arts institution — not a museum or a shopping mall — and is Singapore's primary venue for theatre, music, dance, and multidisciplinary performing arts.

Esplanade is home to a Concert Hall, Esplanade Theatre, Recital Studio, Theatre Studio, Singtel Waterfront Theatre, and Outdoor Theatre, hosting a year-round programme spanning music, theatre, dance, and festivals for children, teens, and adults, alongside Offstage — the venue's arts-journalism and artist-interview publication.
