It aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely perform rigging operations in a theatrical or entertainment environment. The skills taught in Module 1 include; determining the rigging requirements for production, installing hoists, blocks and any other rigging equipment, and dismantling hoists and blocks after performance.

Module 2 covers inspecting, monitoring and maintaining all rigging and rigging system operations. The skills include inspecting the rigging equipment to be used for productions or events; monitoring the operation of rigging systems; and maintaining the rigging equipment to be ready and available for the performance.
