Attention all choristers! Chorus Sing-along is your chance to shine in the world-class acoustics of the Esplanade Concert Hall, led by prominent Singapore choral director and music educator, Terrence Toh.

Each Chorus Sing-along session comprises vocalisation exercises and a selection of accessible choral works. These sessions are open to choristers from all choirs.

Terrence Toh
Terrence Toh is a Singapore choral director and music educator. He holds a Master of Music from Boston University and has studied under Dr André de Quadros, Dr Owen Brian William and Dr Diana R. Dansereau. Toh’s research interest is in the transformative and empowering powers of music, music education and music-making.

In his international debut as a conductor, Toh led his choirs to four gold awards at the 21st Century International Choral Festival in Genting, Malaysia. He also received the Best Interpretation Award and the Most Promising Conductor Award in the same festival.

Choirs under his direction have won recognition and accolades at international choral festivals such as the Festival of Songs in Olomouc, Czech Republic; 11th & 12th Consorso Corale Internazionale in Riva Del Garda, Italy; 28th International Franz Schubert Choir Competition in Vienna, Austria; 3rd International Krakow Choir Festival and 3rd Krakow Advent & Christmas Choir Festival in Krakow, Poland. His choirs are also regularly featured in Esplanade’s Limelight, a series that features the best school choirs in Singapore.

Toh is the founder, artistic and music director of EVOKX, a non-profit community choir that engages youths in raising funds and public awareness for social and charitable causes. He also serves as the Chorus Master of the Singapore Lyric Opera. Toh currently directs the choral programmes at Anglican High School, CHIJ Katong Convent, Nanyang Junior College, Pasir Ris Secondary School, Pioneer Junior College and Singapore University of Technology and Design.
