Experience the immediacy of dance combined with the intimacy of film in Cineda:ns – a new collaboration between Esplanade’s da:ns festival and independent cinema The Projector.

Presenting feature-length documentaries such as Mr Gaga by Tomer Heymann, Pina by Wim Wenders and Our Last Tango by German Kral, the series gives up-close access to significant dance artists, their choreographies and personal lives, told through the cinematic artistry of filmmakers.

Centred on the artistic directors of Batsheva Dance Company and Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, Mr Gaga and Pina have been specially selected as a prelude to their featured works, Decadance and Nelken, at the upcoming da:ns festival in October. So come, and be inspired!

3 Sep, Sat, 8pm – Pina (PG13)
