Sangam is a Hindustani duet, with vocal and flute by vocalist Kaushiki Chakraborty and flautist Rakesh Chaurasia. Kaushiki Chakraborty, daughter and disciple of Ajoy Chakraborty, is the leading female vocalist of her generation, having had performed at all the leading music festivals in the country and abroad. Rakesh Chaurasia, the nephew of flute maestro Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, incorporates the tradition of his renowned uncle and infuses it with his personal touch, and has evolved into a leading flautist today.
