Having just completed his studies in the USA, Shuxiang is presenting this recital as a tribute to the support the Loke Cheng-Kim Foundation, his teachers, family and friends have given him.
Under the tutelage of teachers Sylvia Khoo and Lynette Lim as a child, Shuxiang made his concerto debut at the University Cultural Center at the age of 12. In 2004, at the age of fifteen, he soloed in the Esplanade Concert Hall. Then he left for the USA on scholarship from the Loke Cheng-Kim Foundation, where he studied with three of the leading violin pedagogues of today — Almita Vamos, Roland Vamos and Victor Danchenko.
In this concert, hear Shuxiang perform with several of his best friends from home - Khor Shang Jin on the piano, Tan Wee-Hsin on the viola and See Ian Ike on the violin.
