Esplanade - The Irresistible Pipa Music of Liu Dehai

SYNOPSIS

Pipa master Liu Dehai and his protégés will join hands with the NAFA Chinese Ensemble and the Ruan Ensemble (Singapore) to present a concert featuring the pipa and ruan. Experience the excellent musicianship of the maestro and his students, and the allure of the two legendary plucked string instruments in a one-night only performance.

The concert will feature many traditional familiar favourites and feature the premieres of The Sentiment of Plum Blossom, arranged by Luo Weilun for ruan, and Dream of Rou-ran, composed by Cao Wengong.

General Late Seating Advisory

You are strongly advised to be seated 15 minutes before the performance start time.
No admission will be allowed into the venue once the performance has commenced.
Exceptions may be made at Esplanade's discretion depending on the nature of the performance.

Patrons are advised that with effect from 12 March 2004, an administrative fee of $5 per ticket is payable for all Replacement Tickets issued.

Please note the following conditions:

- Replacement Tickets can only be issued for performances with reserved seating.
- No Replacement Ticket will be issued for general admission or 'free seating' performances.
- Replacement Tickets are issued subject to verification of patron's details against our transaction records.
- Esplanade reserves the right to not issue a Replacement Ticket if we are not able to verify the claim.
- All patrons (including children) must have tickets for admission to ticketed events.
- Infants-in-arms and children aged below six years will not be admitted to ticketed events unless otherwise stated.
