SYNOPSIS
The nature of bones is suggestive of death and decay. However, bones are also evidence of life that existed before. These notions were what spurred the artist’s exploration of human existence in Symbiosis. Human lives are continually shaped by technology which has become an integral part of society. The convenience, innovation and entertainment it offers have turned technology into a human necessity.
In the context of Singapore, the cement of modern architecture is the foundation and binding agent of our concrete jungle. Symbiosis: Bone - Cement – Technology seeks to convey this through the art of assemblage and photography.
