Esplanade - Steelpans of the Caribbean

SYNOPSIS

JuzSteel is Singapore's only steelpan group. The instruments played are also known as steel drums, and are tuned metallic pans which are used to perform calypso music in the Carnival festivities of Trinidad. Steelpan bands tend to also adopt a wide performance repertoire which ranges from latin jazz to film music.

Ever since the formation of JuzSteel in 2001, local audiences have enjoyed first-hand the experience of steelpan music. The group has expanded from an 8 piece ensemble to a 14 piece ensemble. For two days at the Concourse, join them as they bringing to you the soothing melodies and exotic rhythms of the Caribbean, energetic Latin music, as well as familiar pop favourites!

No admission will be allowed into the venue once the performance has commenced.
