Esplanade - Singa-tronica

SYNOPSIS

Local music groups such as Arts Sphere Chamber Ensemble, Breakbeat Theory, Cosmic Armchair and musicians from Gamelan Asmaradana, together with electronic musician Ken Hayashida (The Karl Maka), DJ Fyz Jiggy and traditional Indian musicians Krsna Tan, Govin Tan and Dexter Tan join forces to create new fusion music. This collaborative project was initiated by Esplanade. The artists spent the last few months composing new music to fuse their genres, culminating in eight unique presentations throughout this weekend.

With such diverse musical forms, be prepared to throw out your notions of what traditional Asian music should be!

General Late Seating Advisory

You are strongly advised to be seated 15 minutes before the performance start time.
No admission will be allowed into the venue once the performance has commenced.
Exceptions may be made at Esplanade's discretion depending on the nature of the performance.

Road closures around Esplanade â Theatres on the Bay on 20 May 2012

In conjunction with the Cold Storage Kids Run that will be held on Sunday, 20 May 2012, certain roads around Esplanade will be closed.
