Qian Zhou, Head of Strings and Associate Professor of Violin at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, takes on Sibelius’ acclaimed Violin Concerto, the original version of which was so technically demanding for the soloist that it had to be revised.
Following the acclaimed recordings of the Second and Third, the SSO continues its exploration of the Rachmaninov symphonies with the First, which will be recorded later in the year on the BIS label.
