SYNOPSIS
One of the most prominent Latin-born performers of the pop era, José Feliciano is considered the first successful Spanish-English crossover artist, displaying great talent and virtuosity across the genres of bolero, flamenco, bossa nova, pop, jazz and the blues.
Puerto Rico-born and Harlem-raised, José rose from playing Greenwich Village clubs as a teen in the early 60s to superstardom in both the Latin music and English pop scenes soon after. Since then, he has recorded 45 gold and platinum records, garnered 17 Grammy® nominations, won six Grammy® awards and countless other honours. He has also performed with musicians such as Joni Mitchell, Gloria Estefan and John Lennon, played with top symphonic orchestras such as London Symphony and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, appeared on major TV shows, created his own specials, written music for TV (Chico and the Man), film and the stage. His re-rendition of the Doors' Light My Fire was a tremendous success, and given the world some of its best-loved songs such as California Dreamin’, Feliz Navidad and Affirmation.
Experience the legend in this concert of warmth, humour, eclecticism and sweet Latin soul.
