SYNOPSIS
Fried Rice Paradise – the musical written by Dick Lee (Forbidden City: Portrait of an Empress, Beauty World, Snow.Wolf.Lake., and Puteri Gunung Ledang) returns dramatically up-sized with a brand new story, catchy songs and a star-studded cast.

This musical has been specially produced in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the People’s Association. With elements of early Singapore nostalgia, racial harmony, friendship, neighborliness, romance, and thrilling drama with several twists, Fried Rice Paradise promises to be a true blue Singaporean musical that will make an emotional connection with its audience.
With an award-winning creative team and a cast that features Singapore's leading stage and singing talents such as the first Singapore Idol - Taufik Batisah, Sebastian Tan (Broadway Beng), Lim Yu Beng (Singapore Dreaming), Denise Tan (Beauty World), Darius Tan (Beauty and the Beast) and the legendary Rahima Rahim, Fried Rice Paradise promises to take you on a trip back to the nostalgic 70's.
The story centres around a girl named Bee Lean who goes on a soul searching journey with her good friends Johan, Girly Danker, and Devi who live in a shophouse at Jalan Calamansi, located next to a community centre. Bee Lean has great plans to transform her father’s noodle coffeeshop and attract more customers by selling her mother’s famous fried rice recipe. Unfortunately their plans are foiled by an evil father and son tag team who have great plans to transform Jalan Calamansi into a thriving entertainment district.
