Internationally acclaimed pianist Melvyn Tan performs some of the most tender to the most heroic of piano passages ever written on a journey of fantasy with Schumann, Debussy and Chopin.
Singapore-born Melvyn has built a formidable international reputation with a series of groundbreaking performances and recordings on the fortepiano and the modern piano. From the Yehudi Menuhin School to the concert halls of the world, Melvyn has travelled an extraordinary musical journey that includes performing the complete cycles of the Beethoven Concertos and Sonatas, Mozart Sonatas, Debussy Préludes and Chopin Préludes. His recent concert appearances included performances with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Concertgebouw, and the Edinburgh International Festival.
