SYNOPSIS
"The Tuvans will ride into your brain and leave hoofprints up and down your spine." – The San Francisco Bay Guardian
For centuries, the overtone-laden call of the Tuvan herdsman-throat singer has resounded in the vast, cold grasslands of Tuva between Siberia and Mongolia, in honour of earth, animal, water and sky, and in mimicry of the sounds of the land, rich with all its deep, sonorous, windswept tones.
Now, let Tuvan ensemble Huun-Huur-Tu – with vocals and traditional instruments – transport you to a world of rushing waters, whistling winds, galloping horses, wild birdsong… and an uplifting communion between nature and song.
