SYNOPSIS
Butterflies in my stomach, Bees around my head is an exhibition that comprises four installations of sound collages and large scale drawings.
Angie combines visual and audio to create a sensory experience for the viewers/listeners. As a multidisciplinary artist, Angie performs, draws, paints and sculpts. In this exhibition, she introduces new ways of seeing and understanding her work.
About the artist:
Born in 1979, Angie Seah is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Singapore. She graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology’s Bachelor of Arts where she majored in Sculpture. She was also awarded a culture scholarship to Berlin from the Goethe institute in 2005. She has exhibited her works in South East Asia and did a series of artist residencies in Switzerland, Indonesia, Belgium and Romania. Since 2000, she has been exploring the medium of Sound Art in the area of vocal with actions.
