O, darling, my darling!
Now you are dead.
You’re shot dead…Buddho!

Breaking The Silence is a play about regaining hope. The real stories of people who survived the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia are told in a series of vignettes. Stories of people divided by political conviction, ruined lives, betrayals, guilt, dreams and hope. These stories continue to evolve today and you are invited to imagine the future of the people in the stories. How does one find a way out of a trauma's silence and start the process of reconciliation?
Advisory: Not suitable for patrons aged 12 and below
