Reaching out to school audiences aged seven to 16, this arts programme encourages students to be engaged learners while watching professionally staged shows presented by local arts groups. The productions are designed to encourage audiences to open their hearts and minds to the arts and life in general.
Each FYI performance includes a tour around Esplanade, and an activity kit for each student that encourages continued learning even after the performance has ended.
FYI is held as part of the National Arts Council’s Arts Education Programme (NAC-AEP) that aims to develop initiatives that advocate the value and importance of arts education. It connects arts community with the education sector and supports the professional development of arts educators and arts education providers.
