Leave your inhibitions at home and come out to Yfest 2011!
Presented by Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, Yfest is the latest addition to the arts centre’s calendar of events. Yfest puts the spotlight on popular youth culture and celebrates the, verve, vigour and creativity of young performers and artists, bringing a brilliant mesh of hip hop music, dance and visual arts to young Singapore audiences. And what’s more, Yfest is entirely free! No tickets, no gates, no boundaries. Just one weekend of unbridled youthful energy.
Expect a wide spectrum of local and international talent with showcases of hip hop and R&B stylings, slick B-boy moves, high-energy dance crew battles, performances by young music-makers, and artists from Singapore and the region! Singapore youth will also have the opportunity to work under the mentorship of established professionals and artists and create work that will be performed at the festival.
