Y D Gen
Youth Deaf Generation, also known as Y D GEN is a Y Arts Challenge programme under the YMCA - Tan Chin Tuan community service programmes. It is also under the ExtraOrdinary Horizons, the social enterprise for the deaf that aims to promote awareness, empowerment and passion through sign language courses/workshops, interpretation, performances and other avenues. Our repertoire is in acting/pantomime, song-signing and percussion. Our Y-DGEN production has created its debut solo, duet & group acts in our Deaf way, under the direction of deaf. It incorporates deaf cultural awareness and elements in our acts that are based in Singapore.

Y STARS
YMCA Special Talents, Arts & Recreation Society, also known as Y STARS comprise of a group of 20 special youths with a special love in dance, performing and visual arts under the auspices of the YMCA of Singapore. This special group of youth embrace the beauty of life and spread their message of love and individualism through public performances.

A friendly witch tries to help him with her magic spells, but somehow they never turn out quite right. Join the little green dragon as he discovers that being different can be fun too!

一条小龙因为不能象别的龙一样喷火,而感到很难过。他离家出走,想找到方法,学会喷火。一个好心的巫婆试图用自己的魔法帮助他,但不知怎的,结果总也不如人意。最后,小龙发现:和他人不同,其实也是一件很有趣的事。

Dikir barat is a traditional Malay musical form that involves singing and coordinated hand and body movements. The Primary 6 boys and girls from the popular dikir barat CCA will be singing about the importance of education and life-long learning. The award-winning WRPS dikir barat team has performed at various community events over the past decade. Join them as they strive to perform at their best!

In this simple family drama from Iran, two children invent an intricate plan to conceal the loss of a pair of shoes. Ali and his sister, Zahra, are living in a poor neighborhood. Their mother is suffering from illness and their father is overworked and underpaid. When Ali is sent out to pick up his sister's shoes, a blind street peddler accidentally swipes them. Afraid that he will get a beating if his parents find out, he and Zahra concoct a plan by which she will wear Ali's sneakers to school in the morning and he will wear them to school in the afternoon. But the plan has its flaws because Ali is late to school everyday and his principal threatens to expel him. In a final act of determination, Ali enters a race to win the third place prize, a new pair of sneakers. Children of Heaven received an Academy Award Nomination in 1998 for Best Foreign Film.

This is a piece devised by the young actors of The Little Arts Academy, based on the famous nursery rhyme of Humpty Dumpty. Embark on an adventure with the young performers through this interactive play as they explore the theme of hope through Humpty Dumpty's misfortune of the great fall and how it gave Humpty Dumpty a new lease of life.
The budding young actors in this production are from The Little Arts Academy (LAA). The academy offers a multidisciplinary curriculum that includes Music, Dance, Theatre, Multimedia, Visual Arts and Culinary Arts. Most of the young actors performing are beneficiaries of The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, a fund committed to providing arts education for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

LAA is managed by The Old Parliament House Limited.

This is a story about a little mouse who lives in the countryside. The little mouse has a cousin who lives in the city. The city mouse has many exciting tales about the city to share so the little mouse decides to visit him in the city and this is how the adventure begins.
