Much has been said about the great work Lim Bo Seng, one of our country’s well-known war heroes, did during World War II. However, have you ever wondered what he was like as a child, and what made him the person he was – a passionate and patriotic man? 《十一》Our 11th Brother: Lim Bo Seng's Formative Years uses theatre as an imaginative medium to explore the challenges that Lim Bo Seng faced as a young boy. The performance will lead students in an exploration of values such as loyalty, responsibility and kinship through interactive activities and dialogues. Students will also develop the ability to use Mandarin as a medium for self-reflection and critical thinking.
*This is a Theatre-in-Education programme that combines entertainment (performance) and education (interactive activities). This play marks Drama Box’s continued efforts in bringing quality Mandarin plays to students in a theatre setting, where they can learn, relax and have fun, all at the same time. 林谋盛是保家卫国的大英雄。他在世界二战时参加抗日救国活动，牺牲了自己。但是，他小时候是个怎么样的人呢？他又如何成为我们所知道的林谋盛，一个充满热忱的爱国青年？ 戏剧盒希望通过教育剧场演出《十一》，以戏剧作为想象媒介，引领同学进入林谋盛 小时候的几个重要阶段，探讨他在成长过程中，所面对的挑战和他的抉择。 演出过程中，我们将利用互动性的活动，引导同学们以中文提问与对话，讨论家庭、责任与忠义等议题，发挥他们的自省和批判思考能力。 教育剧场运用戏剧创造一个学习的氛围与情境，演出着重同学们的参与和互动。
