Ding Yi Music Company is back for their third instalment and Chinese bowed-strings instruments are the stars of the show this time. These instruments include; the erhu《二胡》, and her many counterparts such as the gaohu《高胡》, jinghu《京胡》, banhu 《板胡》etc. This performance will take the students on an interactive musical journey through an animated story featuring animal-themed Chinese poems such as《咏鹅》,《小池》and《绝句》. Students will be able to see and hear how these bowed-strings instruments mimic various animal characteristics. They will also be introduced to some simple Chinese poems and learn more about traditional Chinese music. Tickets: $20 |
