Rhythm in Bronze (RiB) has been making ripples in the music scene
in Kuala Lumpur since 1997, by pioneering and spearheading new
dimensions of gamelan performance. RiB will be performing Santai!
RiB style! (Santai is Malay for relax). They will display the various
gamelan styles from the region, fused with western instruments like the
guitar & bass. They will be performing pieces such as Sekar Anyar (Javanese)
Kosalia Arini (Balinese), Ketawang (Malay), new arrangements like Race &
Siboru Pastima and specially composed pieces for RiB, Lagu Utk Teman Lama
by Gareth Farr and Epilogue/Jungle by Sunetra Fernando. |
