Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay celebrates Singapore’s 47th birthday from 8 to 12 August 2012 with an array of exciting programmes that bring back memories of what we love about Singapore. From music, dance, films and visual arts that capture snapshots of our shared histories, to kampung games, this year’s line-up of free and accessible programmes will celebrate the memories that make us uniquely Singaporean.

Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay has a new visual element to its already iconic facade. A sculpture titled Happy Family of Five by local artist Chua Boon Kee will be exhibited at the centre’s Forecourt till 2 January 2013. It will then be moved to a permanent location, within Esplanade. The acquisition of the artwork by Esplanade was made possible through the generous donation of Keppel Corporation Ltd.

Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay turns ten on 12 October 2012. For our 10th Anniversary Weekend, we celebrate Singapore arts and artists. Titled Dedicated to You, the four-day Anniversary Weekend, running from 11 – 14 October presents a completely original line-up of programmes cutting across the different genres of dance, music, theatre and visual arts programmes.
