- candidates must have been born after 15 January 1980
Composition
In future, the compulsory works for the semi-finals of the piano and violin competitions will be commissioned from young Belgian composers.
For the next cycle of competitions, the composers selected are Kris Defoort (piano), Wim Henderickx (singing), and Claude Ledoux (violin), who will each compose new works.
Composers aged under 40 years of age may take part in the international composition competition, which will be held in December 2006. The work selected, for piano and either symphony orchestra or instrumental ensemble, will be performed during the finals of the piano competition.
- deadline for submitting applications: 10 November 2006
- candidates must have been born after 10 November 1966
